THE KICK BOXERS & SQUASH PLAYERS BROUGHT LAURELS WITH THEIR PERFECT PUNCHES AND KICKS IN THE WAKO

The Kick Boxers of Centre Point School, Katol Road brought laurels with their perfect punches and kicks in the WAKO Nagpur District Kickboxing Championship 2017 on 16th July’17 in Maheshwari Bhavan, Nagpur. It was organised and conducted by Nagpur District Kick Boxing.

The players gave their laudable performance and defeated their competitors with their moves to clinch various medals. They received certificates and medals.

The results were as follows : 1) Bhavya Sahni-VIII D (Gold), 2) Swarnim Joseph-X F (Gold) 3) Arnav Gandhi-VI A (Gold), 4) Daksh Gandhi-VI B (Gold), 5) Saanya Pillai-VIII D (Gold), 6) Mitesh Ved-VIII F (Silver), 7) Sanya Kothari-VIII C (Silver),  Dhruv Mishra-VI F (Silver), 9) Ishwar Sarda-VII F (Bronze), 10) Aditya Rane-V A (Bronze), 11) Eshan Sarda– VII (Bronze).

All the proud recipients of the medals and Yugant Ugale, the school coach were applauded during the morning assembly by Mrs. Shilpee Ganguly, Principal, Vice Principals, staff and the students.

 

SQUASH PLAYERS OF CPS KR PERFORM WELL IN STATE INTER DISTRICT TOURNAMENT

The U/14 Boys team, U/19 Boys team and U/14 Girls team of Centre Point School, Katol Road performed extremely well and qualified for the Maharashtra State Inter District Squash Championship held on 15th & 16th July’17 in Aurangabad. The event was jointly organised by the Maharashtra Squash Rackets Association and Aurangabad District Squash Rackets Association.

In the event, the Nagpur District Team won over the other districts of Maharashtra, proving its mettle in the game. The U/14 Boys team won a Gold medal and Devay Mehta, who also played in the U/14 category won a Gold in the Individual Event. The team included Devay Mehta, Devvrat Paldiwal, Manav Kriplani and Sahib Grover. Manav won a Bronze in the Individual category. The U/19 Boys of the CPS, KR won a Silver in the team event. The team included Avaneesh Sapra, Yavya Paul and Advay Patodia. The U/14 Girls including Trisha Garg, Devyani Gahilot won a Bronze. The U/17 Boys including Krish Goyal & Dhruv Kataria also gave a tough fight to their opponents.

The players and their school coach Yuga Chhetri were commended by Mrs. Shilpee Ganguly, Principal, Vice Principals, staff & students of the school.
